Lawn watering restrictions in the GTA
Watering rules differ by municipality and can change year to year or during droughts. Always check your own city's or region's current bylaw before setting a schedule.
Where to check
Look up the outdoor watering page for your municipality or region — for example the City of Toronto, Region of Peel (Mississauga, Brampton) or Halton Region (Oakville, Burlington). Rules often depend on odd or even house numbers and time of day.
Set your controller to comply
Most controllers support odd/even day schedules and start-time windows. Wi-Fi controllers can also skip watering automatically when rain is forecast.
Common questions
- Can you set my controller to follow the rules?
- Yes — we program schedules to your municipality's current rules during startup or any service visit.
